Larkin Community College became the very first secondary school in the country to receive the Volunteering For All Award on 30 November, 2019. Students surveyed their peers and created their Volunteering For All School Charter to receive the Award.
Over 70% of students currently volunteer outside of school hours, and 80% of students in the school report having an interest in volunteering in the future. Staff and students alike were amazed to learn that 45 different nationalities are represented in the school, with 27 languages other than English are spoken by students in their homes.
