St. Mochta’s National School

St. Mochta’s National School became the very first primary school in the country to receive the Volunteering For All Award. The school participated in the workshop on the 10th of January, and completed their challenges by the 8th of February.

Students appeared on RTE News2Day to celebrate their achievements.

It was found that 33 different languages are spoken in the school, with 19 different nationalities being represented. Many students volunteer in school, donate to local and national charities, help their younger siblings and friends with homework, and help out at home with chores.

Comdt. Caroline Burke, Aide de Camp to An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar presented the Award to the school.
